Iron Ridge Paving
Freshly paved asphalt road surface

Private & ranch roads

Private and ranch road paving across North Texas.

Private roads live or die on base and drainage. A ranch road or long private drive does not need a highway section, but it does need a stable subgrade, a compacted base, correct crowns and ditches that actually move water. Iron Ridge builds rural roads with that order of operations.

01

Roads built for their traffic

Ranch and private roads see everything from a pickup a day to loaded trailers and equipment hauls. The section is chosen for the actual traffic: light-use roads can be built economically, while roads that carry loaded trucks need the base thickness and surface to match.

Where the road is long and traffic is moderate, chip seal is often the smarter spend than hot mix across the whole run. Many properties end up with asphalt near the buildings and entrances, and chip seal along the long road in.

02

Drainage before surface

Rural roads fail from water long before they fail from wear. Crowns, ditches, culverts and cross drains are corrected as part of the grading scope, because a new surface over a road that ponds will rut and break along the same lines as the old one.

Iron Ridge works across North Texas, including the Sherman, Denison, Gainesville, Weatherford and Denton areas, and will travel for the right road project.
